My Top 2 COURSE RECOMMENDATIONS
When blogging millionaire Michelle Schroeder offers a course for ONLY $197 (one-time payment - forever accessible) you take it.
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is hands down the best way to learn how to make money with your blog. Since enrolling, I've made numerous affiliate sales and continue to go back to keep learning.
Here is what you get:
- Everything you need to know about affiliate marketing
- Access to arguably the most successful finance blogger in existence
- An incredible Facebook grou
- Facebook promotions
- Mentoring (via the Facebook programs)
- A chance to join her affiliate program if you like it (which pays for itself)
- A FREE PINTEREST COURSE -> Worth a lot right there!
It's the best deal I've seen for a course. Especially for the amount of content you get. Because the Pinterest course is included, I recommend this course over any other!
I have yet to hear a blogger say otherwise. I've seen courses like this go for $500 - $800, so hers for $197 is a real steal.
A side bonus? You can also do a payment plan of $105 if the one-time payment of $197 is too steep for you.
Even if you aren't sure about taking the course, at least check out HER STORY HERE.
I promise, she will make it well worth your time and money.
I went from 1,000 to 10,000 page views in less than a month with this strategy. Carly (who wrote Interesting Strategies) now gets over 200,000 page views a month using this exact strategy.
It's manual pinning at its finest! I have an entire review of Carly's book that you can read by clicking HERE. This is one of the first courses I recommended because I loved it so, so much. Her book is loaded with how to gain organic traffic from Pinterest for free (no scheduler needed). It also does a fantastic job breaking down the Pinterest algorithm. The best part is that you don't need to shell out money for Board Booster or Tailwind to get hundreds of thousands of pageviews from Pinterest. You can simply go viral by understanding the platform.

If you have already invested in Tailwind than I highly recommend Caroline's (from Swaddles n' Bottles) e-book called Pinning for Pageviews. This book does a great job explaining the basics of Pinterest and setting up Tailwind to automate your posts AND pin to your group boards without breaking the rules. She even shows you her exact method on how she pins up to 3 MONTHS worth of content in one shot.
Not only is this efficient, but her strategy has gained her over 1 million page views in 6 months. Another affordable recommendation - that can even compliment Carly's!
Also, Tailwind does have Tribes which is like the new "Group Boards" of Pinterest. Be sure to check out Tailwind here or read my article Understanding Trailwind Tribes to determine if it is right for you.
MASTER AFFILIATE MARKETING: $32/ONE-TIME PAYMENT
If you are looking for affiliate marketing, I always recommend taking Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing by Michelle Schroeder first (read more below!). However, Michelle's course isn't always in everyone's budget.
A much cheaper alternative to learning affiliates is called Master Affiliate Marketing. It will teach you how to set up affiliate marketing and start profiting off of your blog. Another great budget friendly course for those of you looking to earn money from sites such as Amazon.
Udemy is probably my favorite way to learn. I swear that I've learned more in 2 days of Udemy than I did my entire four years of college. Courses can be very targeted, and top ranking courses tend to be taught extremely well: good slideshows, how-to's, easy to understand, and tons of information.
The interesting part? Prices for new signups are usually around $10. After that they try to sell you the courses for significantly more, but don't fall for it! I've never had to pay more than $12 for a course!
Search for a coupon code (or return to the page without purchasing) this will drop most courses to that $10-$12 mark. Many will also become FREE.
You can get my favorite course: Go Viral on 7 Social Media Platforms by clicking the blue link or the easy-to-access button below. It should be $10 and you will learn more from it than you would dream.
Below is a list of blogging tools you NEED.
Start a Blog
Bluehost: Are you on Wordpress.com or blogger? Switch now! Start your own, self-hosted blog for as little as $3.95 a month! You'll thank me later, I promise. Bluehost is trusted by the biggest names in the industry. Learn how to sign up here.
Squarespace: Want a simple solution? Then check out Squarespace! For $15 a month you get hosting and a built in website builder.
Station Seven: My favorite place to get premium and affordable themes.
Tailwind :I use Carly's method and manually pin. However, I do use Tailwind for all of its analytics and for the Tailwind Tribes features. Tribes makes it worth every penny. You can learn more about Tribes here. I also have links to over 20 tribes listed below!
Grammarly: I don't have an editor, although so often I wish I did. Instead, I use a nifty app called Grammarly. It comes with a built in browser extension that takes care of your grammar and sentence structure. It's basic functions are completely free, so make sure you use it!
Mailerlite: Mailerlite is free for the first 1,000 subscribers. It's 10,000 times better than Mailchimp! It has been fancy features like Squarespace, while also including an incredible landing/form builder. Check it out here.
Canva: I create all of my Pinterest images using Canva.
Picmonkey: Have a photo, but don't like how you look? Then try Picmonkey. It has a lot of advanced photo editing settings that you can find in Photoshop (but is much easier to navigate!)
One of the quickest ways I boosted my traffic was with Facebook groups. These groups allow you to easily connect with other bloggers. This means you get tons of people who help you promote, share and engage with your content.

Tailwind tribes are like Pinterest group boards on steroids. They improve reciprocity and collaboration. Instead of the usual "pinning your own and forgetting" movement that is wrecking boards in Pinterest, Tailwind is forcing users to participate, which is beneficial to all of us.
